There is an art of living fully after Menopause.  The woman’s body is truly miraculous. As a woman, you are able to hold a new human life inside of you and nurture that life as it grows, as it enters the world, and as it matures from infancy to adulthood. Menopause is that time in the reproductive cycle when you should take extra care of your body. Getting regular exercise, having a balanced diet and taking vitamin supplements can be essential in overcoming menopause symptoms. Consider, also, having regular visits to your doctor. Another key to feeling good during this next step in life is to never neglect your physical appearance. Depression is also one of the common emotional menopause symptoms. To cope with depression, try to expand your social life, or get involved in a hobby that would preoccupy you, keep you busy and boost your self-esteem.

Other physical menopause symptoms that can be bothersome are mood changes, sleeplessness, loss of memory and changing in libido. Heart palpitations and night sweats can also be experienced. If these menopause symptoms become intolerable, hormone replacement therapy or HRT may be an option. HRT can be used for short term or long term basis as a treatment to overcome menopause symptoms. Studies have proven that HRT in the short term can reduce cardiovascular and osteoporosis risks as well as improve mood and memory.

Most importantly remember that you are not alone in overcoming menopause symptoms. Seek help from your physician, as well as from your family and friends and feel free to discuss the challenges that you are going through. Going to your therapist and finding a support group or support from friends and family who are experiencing menopause would also be helpful in overcoming emotional menopause symptoms to ensure that you still enjoy a good quality of life and well-being despite menopause.
