Anti-aging: Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women

As women age, their bodies produce smaller amounts of estrogen and progestin. During the menopausal years, approximately 45-55 years of age, the changes in hormone levels may Anti-aging and Hormone Therapy result in adverse symptoms, the most prominent are hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal atrophy and dryness, weight gain, and difficulty sleeping. Hormone Replacement Therapy during the menopause transition helps to alleviate some of these symptoms.

Physicians offer hormone replacement therapy (HRT) – an anti-aging hormone imbalance health procedure. Hormone replacement of estrogen, testosterone and other hormones in women and men via creams, pellet therapy or other methods increases female and male libido, weight loss, muscle tone and decreases menopause, andropause and more.

Women have approximately 30 years of life after menopause, and the quality of that life should be optimized. In the past, the approach to sex hormone replacement was based mostly on maintenance of bone mineral content to prevent or slow down the development of osteoporosis. Many women do not realize that menopause is really a transition that spans about 30 years. It does not begin at 50, but actually it begins at about 35 and does not stop until women are about 65. The process of menopause takes that long for the brain and tissues to adjust to fluctuating and decreasing estrogen levels.

There are different options for Hormone Replacement Therapy and all is dependent upon the individual woman and the health history she carries. The two most prominent therapies are synthetic hormone replacement and the bioidentical hormone replacemen (BHRT). Both have treated menopause symptoms effectively but long term side effects seemed to be dramatically different.

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy in Women | Anti-aging

  • Helps eliminate or reduce hot flashes
  • Reduces risks of heart disease
  • Accelerates fat burning / increased weight loss
  • Reduces night sweats and insomnia
  • Enhances sex drive and libido
  • Protects against fibrocystic breasts
  • Helps improve memory and concentration
  • Prevents vaginal thinning & dryness
  • Increases energy & reduces depression
  • Improves the skin’s elasticity
  • Protects bones from osteoporosis
  • Encourages bone growth

There are important differences between HRT, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and synthetic hormone replacement that doctors use today. Highest priority being, BHRT appears much safer than synthetic hormones. Synthetic hormones have been known to increase the breast cancer risk and higher rates of heart disease while BHRT appears to have very few & minimal side effects.
